Lt General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan receives first jab among members of army

The Covid-19 vaccination campaign for members of the Bangladesh Armed forces began on Sunday.

The immunization of members of Bangladesh Army began at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, said a media release issued by the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate.

Chief of General Staff Lt General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan received the first jab among members of the army after the campaign was inaugurated by Quartermaster General Lt General Shafiuddin Ahmed. 

The vaccination program has also kicked off at all naval hospitals in Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal inaugurated the program at BNS Haji Mohsin in Dhaka.

The vaccination of members of the Air Force started at BAF Base Bashar Medical Squadron in the capital. Chief Air Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat received the first jab after inaugurating the program.
