The minor’s uncle, Tapan Baire, filed the case in Ujirpur police station
A case has been filed against a doctor, his wife and one other for torturing an 11-year-old domestic help in Dhaka.
The child’s uncle, Tapan Baire, filed the case in Ujirpur police station on Saturday.
Ujirpur police station OC Ziaul Ahsan confirmed the matter. He said Arthropodic and Trauma Specialist Dr CH Robin along with his wife Rakhi Das and chamber assistant Basu Howladar are convicted in the case.
It has been alleged that Dr Robin has been threatening the child’s family through various ways and as a result, Nipa’s family fled away with her from the hospital on Friday.
The doctor of the upazila health complex filed a GD after Nipa went missing. After 22 hours of the incident, the police found the child from her uncle Tapan Baire’s house at around 4am on Friday.
The OC said that Nipa’s aunt Mukti Baire informed the police that she fled away from the hospital to avoid the threats of Robin and his relatives.
Some of the witnesses from the hospital also acknowledged the incident.
