Biman to operate flights to 7 new destinations

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated two new aircrafts of Biman from Ganabhaban via videoconferencing on Sunday

State Minister for Civil Aviation Mahbub Ali has said Biman Bangladesh Airlines will soon operate flights to and from seven new destinations.

The new destinations are -- Toronto, New York, Tokyo, Guangzhou, Male, Colombo, and Chennai.

The state minister made the announcement in a virtual ceremony where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated two new aircrafts of Biman – “Akashtari” and “Shwetbalaka”— from Ganabhaban via videoconferencing on Sunday.

He also said the airline’s revenue will increase when flights start operating on these new destinations.

“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has many dreams regarding this national flag carrier airline. The airline is moving forward under her leadership. She recently brought 12 new aircrafts for Biman,” said Mahbub Ali.

According to Biman sources, with the addition of these seven new destinations, the national airline will now have 21 destinations in total, which is the highest among all airlines operating in the country.
