A sand art portraying historically significant moments from the 1952 Language Movement up until Independence Day has been unveiled at the sea beach of Kuakata in Patuakhali.
To mark Bangabandhu’s birth centenary and the golden jubilee of independence, six students from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Khulna and Rajshahi Universities started this project on March 9, reports Bangla Tribune.
A portrait of Bangabandhu is placed at the main entrance of this sand sculpture located 100 yards east of Zero Point, while the east and west sides portray the historical moments from the 1952 Language Movement up until Independence Day.
