He had been suffering from kidney problems for a long time
Nurul Huda, former special correspondent of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), passed away at his residence in the Mirpur journalists’ residential area of Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.
He leaves behind a wife, three daughters, and a host of relatives and colleagues to mourn his death.
Huda, 72, had been suffering from kidney problems for a long time, said family sources.
He served the National Press Club in various capacities, including as senior vice president.
Born at Bikrampur in Munshiganj district, Huda made his debut in journalism by joining the (now defunct) Bangladesh Observer after graduating with an English degree at Dhaka University in the early 1970s.
Later, he worked at different media houses including BSS.
Huda will be laid to his eternal rest after the Maghrib prayers, following his namaj-e-janaza at the Banani graveyard in Dhaka.
