Rain and thunder-showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at one or two places over five divisions in the next 24 hours commencing from 6pm on Thursday.
Most likely to occur at Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Dhaka divisions and the region of Jessore, Kushtia and Comilla, said the Met Office.
The weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere over the country, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said in a regular bulletin.
About the synoptic situation, BMD said a trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area, and one of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the Met Office added.
