Till Tuesday, 7,244,484 people have registered to receive Covid-19 vaccines in the country
Till now more than 8.5 million people have received Covid-19 vaccine doses since the countrywide vaccination campaign was launched on February 7.
As of Wednesday, number of vaccine receivers of the first dose was 5,819,646 and a total of 2,698,155 people received the second dose of the vaccine, disclosed Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Administering first dose of the vaccine has been halted due to shortage of vaccine doses. Still, 30 people were administered the first dose on Wednesday.
Including those 30 a total of 119,101 doses of vaccine were administered on Wednesday.

People aged 40 years and above now can get registered to receive Covid-19 vaccines, the health ministry sources said.
Till 2:30pm on Tuesday, 7,244,484 people have registered to receive Covid-19 vaccines in the country, said DGHS sources.
“The vaccination drive was conducted at 50 hospitals in Dhaka city and 1,005 hospitals outside the capital,” the DGHS said, adding that the immunization program will begin at 8am and continue till 2:30pm every day.
People have been asked to register through visiting www.surokkha.gov.bd website to receive Covid-19 vaccines.
