The 12th session of the parliament was prorogued on March 4
The 13th session of the 11th parliament, which is the budget session for FY2021-22, will begin at 5pm on June 2.
President M Abdul Hamid summoned the session exercising the power bestowed upon him as per Clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution, said a press release of the Parliament secretariat here on Tuesday.
Before commencing the House proceedings on the day, the Parliamentary Business Advisory Committee is likely to hold a meeting, with Parliament Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair, to fix the duration and agendas of the session.

Like other sessions during the Covid-19 pandemic, the parliament session will be run maintaining health safety guidelines.
The last session concluded on March 4 with commencing only three working days and placing some five bills. Only MPs who were tested negative for Covid-19 were allowed to attend the session.
A limited number of lawmakers, who were required for fulfilling quorum in the House, were asked to attend the parliament session on a rotation basis.
