Imran Fahad from Bangladesh wins the 1st prize at the competition, organized by Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020, for his start-up Inspiring Bangladesh
The closing ceremony as well as the prize giving ceremony of the Entrepreneurship, Skills & Employment Camp of Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020 was held virtually on Saturday.
The winners of this competition were declared in the ceremony. Imran Fahad from Bangladesh won the competition for his start-up Inspiring Bangladesh, Mr Albarasneh Ali from Jordan became the first runner-up for his star-tup PostHub, and Mohammad Naufal from Indonesia became the second Runner-up for his start-up Carbon Addons.
Planning Minister MA Mannan was present as the chief guest at the program. State Minister for the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel was present as the chairperson of the ceremony.
Addressing the event as the chief guest, Planning Minister MA Mannan said: “In order to accelerate the ongoing trend of socio-economic development of our country, we need to involve more of this huge number of young people in decision-making processes, forming ideas, and innovations to build a resilient and sustainable future.”
The chairperson of the closing ceremony, State Minister of Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel, said in his speech: “Bangladesh currently has a population of 53 million youths who are the prime force for reaching the targets set by our prime minister.”
President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) Taha Ayhan joined the event as the guest of honour. Md Akhter Hossain, senior secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was present as special guest. Department of Youth Development Director General Md Azharul Islam Khan attended the event as well.
