As many as 37,437 patients have recovered so far across the division
Amid the worsening Covid-19 situation in the Khulna division, health authorities reported 32 new deaths in the division in 24 hours till Tuesday morning, taking the total death toll to 1,043.
Besides, 1,367 people were found infected with the deadly virus during the 24-hour period, taking the total tally to 54,998 in 10 districts of the Khulna division.
Of the new fatalities, eight are from Jessore, five from Bagerhat, four each from Khulna and Kushtia, three from Narail, and two each from Meherpur, Chuadanga and Magura, and one each from Jhenaidah and Satkhira.
As many as 37,437 patients have recovered so far across the division.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the surge in cases and deaths, local administration imposed stricter restrictions on public movement in Khulna, Satkhira, Narail, Kushtia, and Bagerhat districts.
The bordering division had detected its first Covid-19 case in Chuadanga district on March 19 last year.
