The West Bengal chief minister sent a letter to Bangladesh prime minister, saying she was delighted
Chief Minister of India’s West Bengal Mamata Banerjee has thanked Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for sending a gift of juicy summer mangoes.
“I am very delighted to receive the mangoes you sent,” Mamata said in a letter sent to Sheikh Hasina on Thursday.
“I respect your affection and the fragrance of Bangladesh, which came through the mangoes. I am truly impressed,” Mamata said in the letter, according to PM’s Assistant Press Secretary MM Emrul Kayas.

Sheikh Hasina sent 2,600kg Haribhanga mangoes, a sweet and juicy variety, as a gift last week to her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and several other leaders.
