Studying abroad: Bangladeshi students asked to get registered with MoFA for vaccination

Ministry of Foreign Affairs also wrote to the foreign missions in Dhaka to keep the visa section open and many of the missions honored the request

Bangladeshi students, who will go abroad for study purposes, have been asked to get registered for vaccination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs directly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will receive applications for Covid-19 vaccination till July 27 beginning from Tuesday.

“We’ve made special arrangements for our students so that they can get vaccinated irrespective of age and go abroad smoothly,” said Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Tuesday.

He said the students will be able to avoid quarantine abroad if they get vaccinated at home. Some of the students, studying abroad, are currently in the country while some students will go abroad for study purposes.

They are eligible for submission of applications to get vaccinated, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Applicants have been requested to send the completed form with a subject "Application for Covid-19 vaccination for students studying abroad" with passport numbers to the ministry.

Earlier, Dr Momen said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote the foreign missions in Dhaka to keep the visa section open and many of the missions honored the request.
