The elite force raided the IP TV office early on Friday, shortly after arresting her
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has raided the offices of Joyjatra IP TV and Joyjatra Foundation owned Helena Jahangir after detaining the businesswoman, who was recently sacked from a subcommittee of the ruling Awami League.
On Friday, RAB went to the Joyjatra office in Dhaka’s Mirpur-11 area at around 2am. A few hours before, Helena was arrested from her Gulshan home.
RAB Executive Magistrate Nadir Shah led the operation at the office, which lasted till 4am.
After the raid, the RAB official told reporters that they did not find any valid documents for the operation of the IP TV.

The channel will be shut down if valid documents are not found till the end of the investigation, he added.
The executive magistrate also said: "We have got the offices of two organizations named Joyjatra Foundation and Joyjatra IP TV in this building. Everything needed to set up a broadcast channel is present here.”
There are allegations that Helena Jahangir has extorted money in the name of appointing representatives at home and abroad through Joyjatra IP TV. After the investigation, a decision will be taken about these two organizations, he added.
Before the arrest of Helena Jahangir, the raid at her residence in Gulshan 2 lasted for about four hours, starting from 8:30pm on Thursday. RAB recovered liquor, walkie-talkies, casino equipment and deer skin from her house. The operation was led by RAB's Executive Magistrate Palash Kumar Basu.
