Cabinet Division outlines plan to phase out restrictions on public movement
All government and private offices, banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh will reopen on August 11 as the countrywide Covid-19 restrictions are set to be relaxed.
In a notification issued on Sunday, the Cabinet Division outlined the plan to phase out the restrictions on public movement.
Public transports will be allowed to operate in full capacity from August 11, but the local administrations have been told to ensure that the number of vehicles on the streets are reduced by half.
The notification emphasized ensuring safety protocols, health guidelines and social distancing rules in public transports.
Eateries and restaurants can provide dine-in service at half their capacity from 8am to 10pm, while shops, malls and markets can be open for business from 10am to 8pm every day.
