The goal is to formulate a 30-year framework, Taposh says
Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has said that a developed Dhaka will be built together with all organizations.
"We want to move forward by coordinating the plans of various agencies, especially the Capital Development Authority, WASA, BTCL, and others to build Dhaka as a developed capital of a developed country," Taposh said on Monday.
He was addressing a views exchange meeting with the stakeholders under the Dhaka Metropolitan Coordination Master Plan (2020-2050) at the Mayor's Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban, said in a press release.
"Our goal is to formulate a 30-year framework and with coordination of all the master plans that have already been adopted, we will move forward under that framework. Together, we will be united," Taposh said.

"In the light of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's vision to build a developed Bangladesh by 2041, this integrated master plan is being formulated to build Dhaka as a developed capital," he said, adding, "It is possible to raise it and the work is moving towards that goal."
Rajuk Chairman ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, Dhaka Transport Coordinating Authority Executive Director Khandaker Rashidur Rahman, BTCL Director-General Dr Rafiqul Matia, Joint Commissioner (Traffic) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Syed Nurul Islam and senior officials of BIWTA, Bangladesh Railways, Roads and Highways Department, Bangladesh Water Development Board, Fire Service and Civil Defense and Department of Archeology were present.
