Bangladesh on Tuesday started vaccinating the Rohingya refugees living in camps in Cox's Bazar as part of the nationwide mass Covid-19 vaccination drive.
Rohingyas eligible for vaccination in the first phase will include some 48,000 individuals.
As many as 6,901 male and female refugees received the shots on the first day of the three-day program at 56 vaccination centres of 34 camps in Teknaf and Ukhiya.
However, the campaign may get extended by a couple more days if the desired number of Rohingyas is not vaccinated by Thursday.
These photos of the vaccination drive and regular life at the Rohingya camps were taken by photojournalist Allison Joyce for Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
