He was admitted to CMH with Covid complications on July 29
Former Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has returned home after receiving treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka for 22 days.
The 87-year-old politician tested positive for Covid-19 on July 25 and was admitted to the CMH on July 29 at the prime minister's directive for better treatment.
His Covid test result came negative on August 14. He was released from the hospital on Wednesday.

There are no apparent physical complications, doctors say.
AMA Muhith, a veteran Bangladeshi politician, has served 10 consecutive years as the finance minister over two terms and has been a member of the Central Advisory Committee of the Awami League. He presented 12 budgets, 10 of which were for the Awami League government.
He was born on January 25, 1934 in Sylhet, where special prayer sessions were arranged for his quick recovery after his hospitalization.
On Thursday, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar posted some pictures of the former finance minister on social media.
