Increase in day and night temperatures likely
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind may occur at many places of the country in the 24 hours to 9am on Saturday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chittagong divisions during the time, a met release said.
Moderately heavy to heavy falls, however, are likely to occur at isolated places over the northern part of the country during the period, it said.

Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius in Khulna’s Mongla area and Friday’s minimum temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Tangail and Ishurdi in Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions respectively.
Maximum rainfall in the 24 hours to 6am on Friday was recorded at 131 millimetres in Tarash upazila of Sirajganj.
The sun will set at 6:21pm on Friday and rise at 5:39am on Saturday in Dhaka.
