A rally was brought out by the Daudkandi Upazila Awami League
The Daudkandi Upazila Awami League has demanded confiscating all property of Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad, one of the masterminds behind the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Various programs - including a rally demonstrating contempt for him - were organized by the ruling party’s upazila wing at Daudkandi upazila of Comilla on Tuesday morning. The Juba League, Chhatra League, Krishak League and Sramik League also joined the programs.
The windows and doors of the ground floor and second floor of Mushtaq's house in Dashpara of Daudkandi upazila were vandalized.
Among those present at the programs were Daudkandi Upazila Parishad Chairman Major (retd) Mohammad Ali, Upazila Awami League President Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, Upazila Krishak League President Shah Alam, Upazila Chhatra League President Tariqul Islam, Upazila Mahila Awami League President Jebun Nesa, General Secretary Laila Hasan, Convener of Upazila Juba League Anwar Hossain, Joint Convener Helal Mahmud, Meghna Upazila Mahila Awami League President Halima Rahman, Freedom Fighter Abdul Wahab, Uttar Daudkandi Union Parishad Chairman Engineer Abdus Salam, Padua UP Chairman SM Monir Hossain, Sundalpur Model UP Chairman Masud Alam.

The chairman of the upazila parishad said that a commission should be formed immediately and all the masterminds of the brutal massacre of August 15, 1975 should be identified and brought to justice.
The people of Daudkandi and Comilla do not want to bear responsibility for the misdeeds of the murderer Mostaq. He demanded confiscation of all properties of Mostaq.
On August 24, a Comilla court issued an arrest warrant against Khondaker Ishtiaq Ahmed Babu, Khondaker Mostaq’s son. Mostaq was part of the conspiracy that led to the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Golam Mahbub Khan of Comilla Cognizance Court No 3 issued the warrant in a case filed on charges of various forms of fraud, including conning family members out of property.
