PM Hasina greets Tigers for winning first T20I series against New Zealand

Sheikh Hasina, an avid cricket-lover, hopes the Tigers' winning spree will continue

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday extended her heartiest congratulations to the national cricket team for winning the five-match T20I series against the touring New Zealand 3-1 by winning the fourth match by six wickets.

Bangladesh earlier on September 1 won the maiden T20I match against New Zealand by seven wickets and won the second one by four runs on September 3, while losing the third match by 52 runs on September 5.

In a felicitation message, the cricket-lover prime minister greeted all the players, coaches and officials of the national cricket team as well as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials for beating New Zealand.

Sheikh Hasina hoped that the winning spree of the Bangladesh cricket team would continue in future.

Bangladesh is hosting New Zealand for a five-match T20I series at the Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

The remaining match will be held on Friday.
