Light to moderate rain likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) Friday forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country in 24-hour till 9am tomorrow," said a met office bulletin issued here Friday morning.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius at Feni in Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was 25 degrees Celsius at Rangamati in Chittagong division.
