Number of casualties rose to 1,281 as of Saturday
The number of recovered Covid-19 patients reached 86,169 with the recovery of 412 more people on Saturday raising the average recovery rate to 85.05% in the district.
Health officials said the recovery rate continues to rise amid a declining number of casualties and a positive rate during the last two months in the division.
"Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases reached 101,387 with the diagnosis of 50 fresh cases on Saturday in the district," Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said.
Some 50 fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after testing 1,681 samples. The positivity rate was 2.97% in the division on Saturday.

"The number of casualties rose to 1,281 as two new deaths were reported in the district during the last 24 hours ending at 8am on Sunday," he said.
Dr Rabbi said: "The average fatality rate currently stands at 0.7% in the division."
"Common people should sincerely abide by the health directives to prevent further spread of the deadly virus despite an improving trend of Covid-19 situation in the district," he added.
A total of 2,612 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at designated hospitals in Chittagong.
