The students are members of Thakurgaon Government Children's Family, where eight others tested positive for Covid-19
After the reopening of the school, five students of Thakurgaon’s Bahadurpara Government Primary School have tested positive for Covid-19 resulting in suspension of the classes.
Confirming the matter, the school’s headmaster, Farhana Parveen, said the two fourth graders and three fifth graders did not show any symptoms of Covid-19 when the school reopened on September 12.

“As soon as we were informed that they tested positive for Covid-19, we suspended the classes of those grades for a week with permission from higher officials,” she added.
The infected students are all female, aged between 10 and 12, and members of Thakurgaon Government Children's Family, said the headmaster.
Rikta Banu, deputy supervisor of Thakurgaon Government Children's Family, said one of our members, a student of Hajipara Adarsh High School, contracted fever and cold last Thursday.
Later, a total of 25 members submitted their samples for Covid-19 test at Thakurgaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital between Monday and Wednesday. Of them, 13 students, including the five primary school students, tested positive for Covid-19, she added.
The 13 students have been kept in isolation and their health conditions are regularly being monitored, said Dr Rakibul Alam Choyan, resident medical officer of Thakurgaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital.
