Two people have been detained over the incident
Members of the Jamalpur unit of Awami League have allegedly attacked a police investigation centre in the district’s Sarishabari upazila on Friday, injuring six policemen.
Police have detained two people in connection with the incident. They have been identified as Md Biddut Hossain, 20, and Morshed, 40.

The group again celebrated with weapons on Friday morning, and an altercation ensued when police tried to stop them. Later, the group attacked and threw brickbats at the police investigation centre.
The injured policemen were Officer-in-Charge Abdul Latif, SI Shafiul Alam Sohag, SI Sultan Mahmud, ASI Mehedi Hasan, Constable Khoknuzzaman, and Solaiman.
Organizing Secretary of Sarishabari upazila Awami League Rafiqul Islam Rafiq said he had no involvement in the incidents.
Superintendent of Police Nasir Uddin Ahmed said additional police forces have been deployed in the area.
