Mystery shrouds as woman found dead in Gopalganj

A woman was found dead in her bathroom at Karpara under Gopalganj Sadar Upazila early Friday. 

The deceased, Jannatul Ferdous Jannati, 32, was a staffer at Karpara Aleem Madrasa, confirmed Boultoloi police outpost Sub-Inspector Md Mukul Hossain. 

Her husband, Mostafa Mollah, is a car driver in Dhaka. 

Police and locals said Jannati’s face bore signs of injuries.

According to the deceased’s daughter Tasin, her mother had gone to the bathroom outside their house early on Friday. She and her brother heard a noise outside but went back to sleep. 

After waking up, they went looking for their mother and found her body in the bathroom. 

Tasin said that her mother’s nosepin and earrings were missing. 

SI Mukul said the body has been sent to Gopalganj 250-bed Hospital morgue for an autopsy
