12 testing machines to be set up in six labs where 3,500-4,000 passengers can be tested per day
Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said RT-PCR testing facility for detecting Covid-19 would start from Saturday at the Dhaka airport, once labs are completely installed by Thursday evening.
He made the announcement after an inspection at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for setting up testing labs on Thursday.
The provision for RT-PCR testing for Covid-19 will be available to air passengers from Saturday, he said.

A number of laboratory machinery have already arrived at the airport and concerned officials are working tirelessly to set up the labs as soon as possible, the health minister updated.
The minister further said that 12 testing machines will be set up in six labs where 3,500-4,000 passengers can be tested per day.
