
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested three engineers of the Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) on charges of corruption and money embezzlement.
A team of the graft watchdog arrested the trio from the CDA building in the city on Sunday.
The accused are Assistant Engineer Golam Sarwar, Assistant Engineer Hamidul Haque, and Deputy Assistant Engineer Jahangir Alam.
ACC Chittagong 1 Deputy Director Lutful Kabir said confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
“The three engineers were arrested for embezzling money from the government's development project. We are also trying to nab the contractors involved with the project,” he added.
The arrested engineers were produced before a Chittagong court on Sunday.
