ACC interrogates 6 more RNPP engineers

On Wednesday, six other engineers were also interrogated

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has interrogated six more engineers who were involved in cost-related anomalies in the ongoing house project called Green City at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) project in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna. 

A team led by Deputy Director Nasir Uddin interrogated them at the commission's headquarters on Thursday, ACC spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee confirmed to Dhaka Tribune in the morning.

Aminul Islam, assistant engineer of Pabna Public Works Department, Shafiqul Islam, deputy assistant engineer of Pabna Public Works Department and Suman Kumar Nandi were interrogated. 

The three others to be questioned are: Superintendent engineer of Rajshahi Public Works Circle AKM Zillur Rahman, Shaheen Uddin and Md Zahidul Karim.

Earlier on Wednesday, the commission interrogated six engineers, including Masudul Alam, executive engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD), at its headquarters over similar accusations.

On November 3, ACC summoned 33 Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) engineers for interrogation. 

The engineers were accused of abuse of power, various irregularities, and corruption at the RNPP according to ACC sources.
