A squad of Cyber Security and Crime of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested the man
A Dhaka court on Monday granted three days of remand for interrogating a man in connection with a case filed for threatening to blow up the car and office of the US ambassador in Dhaka.
Police produced Rajib Uddin, 30, before the court with a prayer of seven days remand but was granted three days instead, reports BSS.
A squad of Cyber Security and Crime of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Rajib from Satbaria Village under Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari district on November 4 following an allegation sent through an e-mail, said an official release.
Police seized a mobile phone from his possession.
During preliminary interrogation, the Rajib confessed to his involvement in issuing the threat using the phone, he added.
A case was lodged against the him under Digital Security Act in this regard.
