The court has recorded 37 prosecution witnesses’ statements so far
Five police officials including a constable who burnt his hands in an effort to douse the fire on Nusrat's body have testified in court in the in the Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case on Monday.
Judge Mamunur Rashid of Feni’s Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal recorded the statements of Constable Md Rasel Hossain, Sub-Inspector M Zahir Raihan, Assistant Sub-Inspector Arifur Rahman, and two locals named: Md Azharul Islam and Md Omar Faruk.

M Shahjahan Saju, lawyer of Nusrat’s family, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune, and said the court also fixed Tuesday to record the statements of four other witnesses.
So far, 37 prosecution witnesses among the 92 have testified in court, over the case filed by Nusrat’s elder brother Mahmudul Hassan Noman.
Constable Md Rasel, in his statement has said he was the first one to rush at the spot upon hearing the screams of Nusrat, who was on fire.
