Cabinet Secretary asked to answer the rule within ten days
The High court has issued a rule asking government officials concerned about their inaction to observe International Mother Language Day on Falgun 8 instead of February 21.
The court also asked why the government, non-government and autonomous body's celebration of national and international programs, in accordance to the Gregorian calendar instead of the Bangla calendar should not be declared illegal.
The bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mustafizur Rahman issued the rule on Sunday after hearing a writ.
Advocate Md Moniruzzaman Lincon stood for the writ.
The Cabinet Secretary also asked to answer the rule within ten days.
