The High Court has summoned Faridpur Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Mainul Islam to appear before the court and explain why he recorded same confessional statements from three accused in a murder case.

The bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman issued the summons order on Wednesday.

The court ordered the Faridpur chief judicial magistrate to appear before the court on October 8.

Barrister Ruhul Kuddus Kajal accompanied by Advocate Nusrat Yasmin stood for the accused.
