They were arrested on Sunday with IED materials
A Dhaka court on Monday placed two suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (Neo-JMB) each on five-day remand.
They were charged in a case filed with Jatrabari police station under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Metropolitan Magistrate Ashek Imam passed the order after Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of police produced them before the court with a 10-day remand petition for each.
The remanded are Md Shofiqur Rahman alias Baitullah Mehsud, and Md Khalid Hasan Bhuiyan alias Afnan.
The duo were arrested from Jatrabari area on Sunday with a large amount of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) materials, three butane gas cans, one set remote control device, four packets of bearing balls, 10 Christmas bulbs, IED making manual and a motorcycle.
They were later shown arrested in a case lodged over the May 16 bomb attack, targeting traffic police members in Signboard area.
