She was earlier remanded for nine days in three phases in a drugs case
A Dhaka court on Friday sent model Marium Akter Mou to jail, after rejecting a bail petition moved by the defence in a narcotics case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Abu Sayed passed the order after Crime Investigation Department (CID) Inspector Probir Kumar Ghosh, also the investigating officer of the case, produced her before it.
Defence lawyers submitted a petition seeking bail for Mou saying that she was implicated in the case as part of a conspiracy to harass her.
However, the court rejected their appeal after a hearing and sent her to jail.
