The six accused are– Babul Hossain, 35, Minhajul, 32, Sirajul Islam, 25, Aminul Haque, 30, Ekramul Haque, 50 and Atiqul Islam, 29.
Sources said APC Ekramul was attached with Agargaon Environment directorate. The rest were attached with Dhaka district Ansar office.
Dhaka district Ansar Commander Saifullah Rafel confirmed the matter and said a two-member official committee was formed to investigate the matter.
He also mentioned the committee would submit the report by tomorrow.
When asked about the withdrawal, he replied: "The Ansar members submitted a resignation letter a few days ago. We withdrew them after receiving the letter. The rape was found out after the withdrawal.
"They will either be released or face departmental punishment once the report arrives," he added.
In addition, Abu Bakar Siddique, officer-in charge of Shahbag police station, said the victim contacted the police and filed a case yesterday.
According to the case statement, the victim was waiting near the DMCH Emergency Unit after treatment on Sunday early morning. Four Ansar members forcefully took her into the radiotherapy unit and raped her. Later, two more Ansars joined and took turns raping her.
The victim's brother told the Dhaka Tribune he received a call from DMCH.
He said: "I did not know about my sister's rape until I reached Dhaka."
He said his sister often went missing for eight to ten days. This time she was missing for almost 15 days.
DMCH sources informed on October 28th, six on-duty Ansar members allegedly raped her and drove her away from the hospital.
She was admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Centre at DMCH afterwards.
According to the doctors, the girl has been suffering from mental disorders and continues to speak gibberish since admission. Later, she was sent to the psychological department for further treatment.
Abu Bakar Siddique said: “Police arrested Atiqul from city’s Tikatuli Ansar Camp and the victim is now with the victim support center at Tejgaon.”
