
Brahmanbaria Superintendent of police Md Mizanur Rahman and Nasirnagar Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abu Zafar confirmed the decision to the Dhaka Tribune on Monday afternoon.
OC Abu Zafar said: “We have continued public announcements in the area. More attacks have been taking place after the initial attack.
“Anyone who can provide specific information which will lead to the arrest of any miscreant will be rewarded Tk 1 lakh by the police
The identity of the informer will not be disclosed under any circumstances,” he added.

On October 30, a large group of people attacked the Hindu community in Nasirngar upazila in Brahmanbaria and set fire to numerous buildings. Despite heavy police presence, the communal attacks have continued.
The latest attack took place on November 13 at the house of Chottu Lal Das.
SP Mizanur Rahman said the arson were specifically designed to spread terror as fires were set to uninhabited parts of the households.
