
They reached the spot around 10:40am on Sunday. Few minutes later, they were joined by a bomb disposal team led by Senior Assistant Commissioner Rahamatullah Chowdhury and fire service team.
Senior ASP Abdus Salam, who is leading the CID team, told the Dhaka Tribune: “The fire service team will neutralise the tear gas exposure in the scene. Later the bomb disposal team will defuse any unexploded bomb.”
“Then the crime scene unit will start their work,” he added.

Police’s Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit conducted Operation Ripple 24 at a house in Ashkona Purba Para area of Dhaka’s Dakkhinkhan on Saturday which led to the capture of two female militants and the rescue of three children.
Two others were killed in the raid – a woman killing herself by detonating a suicide vest and a teenage boy whose cause of death remains unclear.
