Two suspected criminals killed in Jessore turf war

Two people have been killed in an alleged shootout between two groups of suspected criminals near Nimtola Bazar area under Chaugachha upazila of Jessore district. The deceased are Akchher Ali, 45, of Borkabilpur and Saidul, 35. Chaugachha police station Sub-Inspector Waheduzzaman said: “On information about the shootout, we went to the area and recovered the bodies around 2:50am on Wednesday. “The bodies have been sent to Jessore General Hospital.” However, the others managed to flee the scene. The SI said some phensedyl bottles, firearms and bullets were recovered from the spot. Chaugachha police station Officer-in-Charge M Moshiur Rahman said: “Akchher is accused in 21 cases while Saidul is accused in four. “They might have been killed in shootout among themselves.”
