
The medical reports of the two private university girls, who were raped by Shafat Ahmed and Shadman Sakif at the Raintree Hotel in Banani, Dhaka on March 28, will be released on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the Dhaka Medical College Hospital forensic department head Dr Sohel Mahmud said: “A five-member forensic team conducted the tests. They will hand over the reports to the police after holding a meeting at 11:00am on Thursday.”

On May 12, Shafat and Shadman were apprehended in Sylhet. Shafat’s bodyguard and driver, who were complicit in the rape, were subsequently caught on May 15.
Shafat and Shadman confessed to their crimes before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrates Ahsan Habib and Sabbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury on May 18.
According to police, another accused, Nayem Ashraf, who was arrested from Munshiganj on May 17, had confessed to being involved in the incident during the primary interrogation.

Shafat is the son of one of the owners of Apan Jewellers, Dildar Ahmed. Nayem is the managing director of eMakers Bangladesh and Shadman Sakif is one of the directors of Regnum Group.
Dildar is currently being investigated by Customs Intelligence for allegedly being involved with gold smuggling.
