Dhaka's Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 has set June 19 to take the charges against five accused in the Banani rape case, including Shafat Ahmed and Shadman Sakif, into cognizance.
Setting the date on Monday, the tribunal's Judge Shafiul Azam also ordered for all the accused to be produced before the court on the same day, reports UNB.
Earlier, the case filed over the rape of two university students in a Banani hotel was transferred to the tribunal from the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Delwar Hossain on Sunday.

On Thursday, police pressed charges against all five accused-- Shafat Ahmed, Nayem Ashraf, Shadman Sakif, Shafat's driver Billal Hossain and bodyguard Rahmat Ali -- in the case.
The two female private university students were raped at the Raintree Dhaka hotel in Banani on March 28. One of the victims filed a case with Banani Police Station on May 6.
