Three poachers detained in the Sundarbans

A team of forest officials have arrested three poachers from the Kawakhali canal of Satkhira Range in West Sundarbans on Friday. The detainees, Akhtarul Gazi, Akchedur Rahman and Abdul Karim Gazi, were caught fishing with poison and a mono-philament net in the Sundarbans, where entry has been restricted. Sundarbands Satkhira Range's Burigoalini police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Belal Hossain has confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune. Police have seized two bottles of poison, the mono-philament net and a boat from the detainees. A case has been filed against the three under the forest law. They will be produced in Satkhira court on Sunday, confirmed the Forest Department.
