Brigade Ad-Dar-e-Kutni commander held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained a suspected member of Brigade Ad-Dar-e-Kutni from Banasree area in Dhaka. Arrestee Imam Mehedi Hassan alias Abu Zibril is the commander of Brigade Ad-Dar-e-Kutni. RAB says Sarwar Jahan alias Abdur Rahman alias Abu Ibrahim al-Hanif was the chief of New JMB while Gulshan attack mastermind Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury was the second-in-command of the group. According to RAB, Sarwar-Tamim Group is now active under the name of Brigade Ad-Dar-e-Kutni.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Legal and Media Wing’s Senior Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan confirmed the matter Thursday morning. He said: “We raided the area and arrested him Wednesday night. “Details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing later in the day.”
