Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal will not be taken overseas for medical treatment regarding the injuries he suffered from an attack on Saturday.
His wife, Dr Yasmeen Haque told reporters at the Combined Military Hospital on Sunday morning that the eminent academic's injuries will not require treatment abroad.
She said she has complete faith in the CMH authorities.

On Saturday afternoon, Prof Zafar Iqbal was attacked by a young man during an event at the Shahjalal University of Science & Technology campus.
He was taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and then flown to Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka at the prime minister's behest.
The attacker was identified as Faizul, a local hawker who also claimed to be a madrasa student. He has been detained and is in police custody.
