2 suspected murderers arrested in Dhaka

According to the police the two fugitives captured were directly involved in the murder of Jubo League leader Golam Mostofa

Police have arrested two fugitives suspected of murdering a Jubo League leader, Golam Mostofa, alias Boma Mostofa, 45, in Dhaka.

Acting on tip-off the Sadar police station second officer and sub-inspector along with forces conducted a drive in Dhaka’s Segunbagicha area in the early hours of Friday and captured the fugitives from a rented apartment.

The arrestees are, Saidul Islam Khan, 35 and Babu alias Tilli Babu, 23, both residents of Madhyapara in the Ranigram village.

Sub-inspector Tariqul Islam confirmed on Friday afternoon, that the arrested are the ones who were first accused.

As they were directly involved in the murder, they decided to go into hiding andcurrently, they are being processed in court to be sent to jail, he also added.

According to the Sadar police station Inspector Md Rafiqul Islam, Mostofa was killed on October 3,due to an on-going conflict between the Jubo League and Jubo Dal trying to assert their political dominance in the Ranigram village of Sirajganj town.
