Police arrested a man on Sunday from Bogra Sadar for reportedly raping a grade-1 boy.
The suspect, Md Nasim, 48, is a driver by profession.
The father of the child filed a case with Bogra Sadar police station against Nasim on Sunday.
Bogra Municipality Ward-3 Councillor Tarun Chakraborty said that around 2pm on Sunday, Nasim forcibly took the child inside an under-construction building and raped him.
On returning home, the child told his family members about the incident and later, their neighbours detained Nasim and handed him over to the police.
Bogra Fulbari police post Sub-inspector Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter.
