According to CTTC, Asmani had been secretly recruiting female members through online mediums for a long time after becoming the head of the new JMB women's branch.

“She sent several people to alleged Hijrat, many of whom were arrested at different times,” CTTC sources said.

She also had links to new JMB leaders Islam Al Hindi, Abu Dujana and Abu Mohammed via online, the CTTC sources said.

Asmani along with four to five New JMB members gathered at Kamalapur as part of a conspiracy, to plan an operation for attacking government establishments in order to establish Khilafah and Sharia law in the country, CTTC sources added.

Police are trying to arrest the others involved in plotting the attack, sources added.

A case has been filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Motijheel police station.

She was sent to the court with a 10 days remand application. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim granted three days of remand.
