The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained seven members of a teen gang and arrested its alleged 35-year-old leader in Dhaka city.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-2 raided the city's Pallabi area on Wednesday night and nabbed the eight.
Some sharp weapons were also seized from their possession, the elite force said on Thursday.

The teen gang members were involved in crimes like mugging, robbery, eve-teasing and extortion, the RAB Headquarters said in a release.
Many of them are drug addicts, it said.
The 35-year-old gang leader has been identified as Delwar Hossain alias Paltu. Others are legally minors, aged 18-19 years.
