The duo are accused of misappropriating Tk2.53 crore
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against NRB Bank Director M Badiuzzaman and his wife Nasreen Zaman for allegedly amassing illegal assets worth Tk2.52 crore.
ACC Assistant Director Mohammad Saiduzam filed the case with the commission’s integrated district office-1 on Monday.

Deputy Director of ACC Public Relation Office Muhammad Arif Sadeq confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
According to the case, the commission has found that Badiuzzaman has obtained Tk1.3 crore and his wife amassed Tk1.49 crore beyond the known sources of income.
The case was filed under Section 27 (1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004 and Section 109 of the Penal Code.
