
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Tuesday fixed the maximum price of beef at Tk475 per kg and mutton at Tk725 per kg ahead of Ramadan, reports UNB.
DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon took the decision at a meeting with Bangladesh Meat Traders Association at Nagar Bhaban in the city.
The price per kilogram of buffalo meat was also fixed at Tk440, lamb at Tk620, and foreign beef at Tk440.
The mayor said the newly fixed prices would remain in effect from the first to the 27th day of Ramadan.
The mayor also assured the meat traders that necessary steps would be taken to fulfil their demand for a permanent cattle market in the city corporation.
