Jatiya Press Club's (JPC) permanent member and former associate editor of the New Nation Hasanuzzaman Khan died on Sunday night.
He was 69.
He passed away at his residence at Mirpur Journalist Residential Area around 9pm.
His namaz-e-janaza was held at 11am on Monday at JPC premises, according to a press release.
Hasanuzzaman, who was also news editor of the Daily Independent, is survived by wife, two daughters, a host of relatives and well-wishers.
JPC President Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman and General Secretary Farida Yasmin expressed their profound shock at the death of Hasanuzzaman.
They also conveyed their deep sympathies to the bereaved family members.
